DJ Brazil Treasury: March-April Overseas Debt Buyback Hits $510.5 Million

SAO PAULO -(Dow Jones)- Brazil's federal Treasury repurchased outstanding overseas debt with a face value of $510.5 million between March and April, according to figures released Monday by the Treasury.

The buyback came at a financial cost equal to $623.6 million, which includes payment of bonds and payment of interest.

The largest volume of repurchases came from the outstanding EU 15 Bond, which reached a total buyback volume of $211 million in the period, followed by A Bonds, with a total volume of $121 million repurchased.

O resgate chegou a um custo financeiro equivalente a 623,6 milhões dólares, que inclui o pagamento de obrigações e pagamento de juros.

O maior volume de recompras veio do excelente Bond UE-15, que atingiu um volume total de recompra de $ 211 milhões no período, seguido por um Bonds, com um volume total de 121 milhões dólares recomprados.
