A YBBRIO UK atraves de seu presidente Mr.Alexandre Yokoyama ,participara da, Chief Executive Officer's update - September 2019
As we look towards the Autumn, activity across our key programmes of work in the UK, Europe and internationally is increasing at pace.
With Brexit uncertainty continuing, we will be holding a Members' Brexit Briefing event on 19 September with senior stakeholders and parliamentarians to reflect on the current status of the negotiations and discuss maintaining the industry's long-term competitiveness.
Earlier this month in Edinburgh I met with Derek Mackay MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Economy & Fair Work; Stephen Ingledew, CEO, FinTech Scotland and Stewart Maxwell, Special Adviser to the First Minster. Last week I was in Finland at Eurofi to listen to the sessions, meet with members and senior stakeholders to discuss issues such as EU growth, financial stability, sustainable finance and digital trends. These meetings have been alongside our ongoing engagement with politicians, regulators and officials at national level, with recent meetings including discussions with Michael Gove MP, John Glen MP and Chuka Umunna MP.
Our City Chairs have an active programme of engagement with senior local policymakers throughout the autumn. Subject to developments in Westminster, events will take place in Leeds, Bristol, London, Greater Manchester and Newcastle.
We recently launched our latest report with EY: 'The future UK-US trading relationship: creating a transatlantic digital market in services'. The report looks at the potential post-Brexit opportunities to expand UK-US data sharing arrangements. This is first major output into our wider work on data and cross-border data movement with a number of key markets, including Japan, and at the WTO.
Finally, I am very pleased that Sir Adrian Montague, Chairman of Aviva, has been appointed as our new Advisory Council Chairman. He will take over the role from Paul Manduca on 30 September 2019. I am sure you will join me in thanking Paul for his enormous contribution at a historic time. Sir Adrian brings a wealth of experience from across the entire financial and related professional services ecosystem, emphasising the role of the Advisory Council as the place where the industry's leadership comes together.
